FIRE GROUP INVESTS IN COLIN BÖNIGHAUSEN

With his new partner FIRE Group, the Lower Saxony racing driver Colin Bönighausen will be promoted to the Porsche Carrera Cup in winter 2023/2024.

• Career boost through real estate investment company FIRE Group
• Commitments in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany and Middle East

Colin Bönighausen gets a new partner in the FIRE Group, which enables promotion from the BMW M2 Cup to the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany.
This means that the 18-year-old shooting star from Hanover will be competing in the most competitive one-make cup in the world next season, which will, among other things, compete in the DTM. Even before that, Bönighausen will use the winter of 23/24 as the best possible preparation in the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East, which will be held for the first time, and thus compete in the Formula 1 and FIA World Endurance Championship.

This sporting advancement is made possible by the FIRE Group, whose Chief Commercial Officer Andreas Baese is himself active in motorsport: “I used to race karts and am still involved in hobby racing today. That’s why I know exactly how difficult it is for young drivers to find the right partners to give their career the push it needs.“

Colin Bönighausen will represent the brand as an ambassador on his brand new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup with the iconic FIRE design. “FIRE believes in me and makes this advancement possible. I would like to take advantage of this incredible opportunity.”

I’m looking forward to the new racing car and the duels with the other drivers,” said Colin. “The first season is a learning year where I want to gain as much as possible – of course also good results.” In the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East, Colin will be competing in the experienced Austrian team of Lechner Racing before winning the German championship with CarTech Motorsport Bonk will deny.

A long-term collaboration with a specific goal was particularly important to the FIRE Group: “Colin is pursuing a 3-year plan and ultimately wants to go to the DTM and Le Mans. We’ll help him make his dream come true!” explains Baese, who has already followed Bönighausen closely this season. “We have great confidence in Colin. Many will be amazed at how good he is,” Baese continued.

For the FIRE Group, it is a further step in the long-standing promotion of young talent in motorsport. “We support young talents with the necessary grit and a down-to-earth family behind them. To be successful in motorsport, you need the necessary ambition, but also an intelligent environment.” Baese will use selected events to integrate the existing FIRE community. Colin is looking forward to sharing his experiences with the FIRE community: “I want to get to the top of this sport and share this good time with others.”
