PORSCHE young talent program Talent Pool
The Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany focuses on extensive support for young talent and thus consistently positions itself as a training platform for young racing drivers on their way to professional motorsport.
The Talent Pool has been a flagship project for promoting young talent since 2018. The group coached by former Porsche factory driver Wolf Henzler this season includes the Germans Colin Jamie Bönighausen, Theo Oeverhaus, Janne Stiak and Gian Luca Tüccaroglu as well as the Dutch Nathan Schaap, Robert de Haan and Senna van Soelen.
They put together a mix of Carrera Cup newcomers and drivers with some experience. Theo Oeverhaus drove in the German Carrera Cup last season and secured the title in the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East in the winter. Robert de Haan won the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux last season and also made guest appearances in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany and the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.
The members of the talent pool were a maximum of 21 years old at the start of the season. The youngest is Janne Stiak. The student from Steinhude near Hanover, who is also competing in his second Carrera Cup season, celebrated his 17th birthday at the beginning of the year.
