Bönighausen takes his first podium in the BMW M2 Cup

Colin Bönighausen achieved his first podium finish of the season after a strong performance in round 8 of the BMW M2 Cup. After a mixed qualifying on Friday with starting positions 6 and 4 for the two sprint races, Bönighausen was able to climb to third place on the winner’s podium in the heat battle at the Lausitzring on Sunday. After the many setbacks in the past races, the joy of winning the trophy was great under the eyes of his new sponsor, Mr. Andreas Baese (Fire Group). As the best rookie, he could already be looking forward to new designer shoes from BornOriginals the day before. The next races will take place at the Sachsenring (DE) on September 8th, 2023.
