Colin extends ADAC GT Masters campaign with Razoon

Lower Saxony-based racing driver Colin Bönighausen will be staying with team “razoon – more than racing” to compete in the 2027 ADAC GT Masters. This announcement was made shortly before the season finale at the Hockenheimring.

With the final race of the season in the German GT3 championship at Hockenheim together with DTM approaching, Colin Bönighausen has not only the race on his agenda, but is also setting the course for the coming season. “I’ll be competing in 2027 with the same line-up as this year,” confirms the 21-year-old from Isernhagen. He will continue to share the driver’s seat of the razoon – more than racing
Porsche 911 GT3 R with the Austrian Leo Pichler. “We drive at a similar level and get on well,” says Bönighausen of their successful partnership. Next year marks a significant milestone for the ADAC GT Masters. The world’s longest-running GT3 racing series will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2027.

With the support of his sponsor, Milwaukee, Bönighausen pushes ahead with the Nürburgring Nordschleife project. He plans to obtain the necessary licence (permit) next year, which will allow him to compete in the top GT3 class on the legendary circuit in the Eifel the following year. This clearly sets out the sporting direction for Colin and his partners.

The razoon – more than racing duo have once again set their sights high for the final at the Hockenheimring. The mixed weather forecast could work in the Porsche drivers’ favour. “You have to take the weather as it comes. But things have always gone well for me at Hockenheim. I like the circuit,” says Bönighausen. Colin describes the circuit’s characteristics as follows: “Turn 1 is tricky; you have to hit the
track limits exactly. In turns 2 and 3, it’s all about getting a good exit and carrying momentum onto the long straight towards the Spitzkehre. At the end, you dive into the Motodrom with all the spectators – that’s always special.” The weekend kicks off on Friday with two free practice sessions, followed by a qualifying session and a one-hour race with driver changes on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
