Bönighausen wins the Porsche duel

Hannover. The young racing driver Colin Bönighausen (18) won two trophies at the weekend in Dubai. The man from Kirchhorst (Fire Racing) finished third in the fifth round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East season on Saturday and was able to repeat this result a day later at the same place in the sixth round of the series.

Bönighausen thus won the Hanover duel, as 16-year-old Janne Stiak (JS Racing) from Steinhude finished behind him, came fifth (after a time penalty) and fourth in Dubai. Theo Oeverhaus won both races and is also clearly leading in the overall standings.

There are still three race weekends left in the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East (with two races each). It continues next week in Abu Dhabi, followed by Bahrain (February 29th to March 2nd) and Saudi Arabia (March 7th to 9th). ez
