Welcome
First of all, welcome to the homepage of Colin Jamie Bönighausen! Colin started karting in 2015, at the age of 10 in the Top One Kart Racing Team of his father Klaus Bönighausen, who himself was a successful motorsport driver. First, he started in the Rotax kart at the Rhein Main Kart Cup (RMKC for short) and in the North German Kart Challenge (NKC). A year later, he plunged into the Rotax Max Challenge Germany alongside the RMKC, which is held in five races on absolute top tracks. Colin and the Top One Kart Racing Team made a guest appearance at the famous Erftlandring in Kerpen, on the ProKart Raceland world championship track in Wackersdorf or in Genk, Belgium. Clever and careful but determined, Colin is being build up through many training sessions. And so, in 2017 the first big successes came. He also started not only the Rotax Max Challenge but also at the ACV Kart Nationals.
In this highly staffed series, he won pole position several times and recorded three race victories (Wittgenborn, Liedolsheim and Oppenrod), in the end he reached the much-hyped runner-up championship 2017. He was also able to prove his skills in the Rotax Max Challenge and finished second in the rookie standings. He has made a lot of plans for the current season and so he moves to the KSM Schumacher Racing Team, the team of former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher, who will help Colin with his knowledge and experience. Due to his change, he starts in the 2018 season, in addition to the ADAC Kart Academy, also into the "Champions League" of karting, in the International German Kart championship.
